WELCOME! MY NAME IS CHRISTINA YRANELA.
Making that first call to meet with someone you don’t know is often filled with uncertainty. But, leaving things unsaid, locked away, or simply not a priority, can often make our experience feel like we are screaming on the inside. You may feel that something is missing, and be even reluctant to acknowledge what it is, that is amiss. Sometimes it is the hurts and desires that keep the well-being of any person, away. I help others learn to hold and process their experience. Together, we can walk through the immense struggles that you face, or have faced. I may help you cultivate the valuable clues in order for you to live with greater meaning in your life - and to lessen the load of your grief. The process of active self-healing is yours to take ownership of. I merely provide an empathetic workspace.
THINGS CAN GET BETTER.
It is my honor to provide you, on a consistent basis, a non-judgmental and compassionate stance, so that you may identify and address paths that may lead to your healing. I am here to listen, empower, and explore. As your therapist, I collaborate with you so that you may look with kind eyes and develop insight and new understandings.
WORKING TOGETHER IN A VIRTUAL SPACE IS A NEW NORMAL:
You can speak with someone you trust
It may help those who are auditory learners
It may ease those circumstances that simply outweigh the pros of meeting in person
You can stay accountable through greater convenience of meeting virtually with at home sessions
There are benefits of having a therapeutic relationship that builds your self-awareness
I graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a Masters of Social Work in 2013. I have about 10 years of clinical experience working with youths, adults, and communities. I opened my private therapy practice in 2017 in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. In 2019, I began providing virtual therapy. I have experience ranging from within the emergency room to working locally in the classroom. I am informed by mindfulness, cognitive, and relational psychoanalysis therapy.
Just as every individual has a unique set of challenges and experiences, your care may be tailored to reflect your needs and strengths.
